Ajay Bulusu is a Co-Founder of NextBillion.ai, the AI-driven mapping and route optimization platform he helped launch in 2020. His journey began in 2017 as part of Grab's Geo team in Southeast Asia, where he worked alongside his co-founders to solve some of the most demanding location intelligence challenges in ride-hailing and last-mile delivery at scale. That firsthand experience with the limitations of generic mapping APIs — rigid pricing, inflexible routing, and poor support for commercial vehicle constraints — became the founding insight behind NextBillion.ai. Ajay has guided the company through $34.25M in venture capital funding from Lightspeed, Microsoft's M12, and other top-tier investors, and through the company's 2025 integration with Velocitor Solutions, bringing NextBillion.ai's routing intelligence into the enterprise telematics ecosystem.

Before co-founding NextBillion.ai, Gaurav built successful products from the ground up at Grab, Ola, and Morgan Stanley — spanning ride-hailing, food delivery, and financial services — giving him a deeply practical understanding of what logistics and mobility platforms need to operate at scale.
