Gaurav drives product innovation at NextBillion.ai, bringing a rare combination of deep technical expertise and real-world logistics platform experience. Before co-founding NextBillion.ai, Gaurav built successful products from scratch across ride-hailing, food delivery, and logistics at Grab, Ola, and Morgan Stanley—giving him firsthand insight into the routing, dispatch, and ETA reliability challenges that fleet operators face at scale. His product philosophy centers on building solutions that solve actual operational problems rather than theoretical ones. At NextBillion.ai, Gaurav leads the development of an API suite that has helped 150+ businesses globally optimize over 10.9 million deliveries and generate more than $11 million in documented cost savings.

Ajay Bulusu is a co-founder of NextBillion.ai, where he helps shape the strategic direction and go-to-market approach of one of the fastest-growing logistics technology API platforms globally. Ajay's journey with NextBillion.ai began in 2017 when he, along with Gaurav Bubna and Shaolin Zheng, worked together on the Geo team at Grab—one of Southeast Asia's largest mobility and delivery platforms. That experience revealed a persistent gap in the market: enterprise-grade location intelligence that was accessible, customizable, and cost-effective. In 2020, the three co-founders launched NextBillion.ai to close that gap. The company has since raised $34.25M in venture capital and joined Velocitor Solutions in 2025 to accelerate its enterprise fleet management capabilities.

Shaolin Zheng is a co-founder of NextBillion.ai and a key architect of the company's technical infrastructure and geospatial platform capabilities. Shaolin's background in large-scale geo systems was forged at Grab, where he collaborated alongside Ajay and Gaurav on the Geo team that powered location intelligence for millions of daily transactions across Southeast Asia. Recognizing that the tools available to most logistics businesses were either too expensive, too rigid, or too limited in scale, Shaolin co-founded NextBillion.ai in 2020 to build a routing and mapping platform purpose-designed for commercial operations. Today, the platform navigates over 557 million miles, serving fleet operators and logistics technology builders across more than 150 global businesses.
