His career spans some of the most demanding logistics and mobility environments in the world — ride-hailing and food delivery at Grab and Ola, and financial infrastructure at Morgan Stanley. At NextBillion.ai, Gaurav leads the charge on making enterprise-grade fleet visibility and route optimization accessible and cost-effective for businesses of all sizes. He co-founded NextBillion.ai alongside Ajay Bulusu and Shaolin Zheng after recognizing firsthand that existing mapping and tracking solutions were too expensive, too rigid, and too generic to meet the real operational needs of logistics businesses. Gaurav's product philosophy centers on practical intelligence: technology that gives dispatchers, fleet managers, and operations teams accurate, actionable information — without the complexity overhead.

Ajay Bulusu is a Co-Founder of NextBillion.ai, a company he built alongside Gaurav Bubna and Shaolin Zheng following their shared experience on the Geo team at Grab, one of Southeast Asia's largest mobility and logistics platforms. At Grab, Ajay saw firsthand the transformative impact that precise, reliable location technology can have on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainability — and equally, how most available solutions failed to deliver that impact at reasonable cost or with sufficient flexibility. That insight drove the founding of NextBillion.ai in 2020 with a mission to democratize sophisticated location intelligence for businesses worldwide. Ajay brings a founder's lens to the challenge of real-time fleet visibility: building systems that are not just technically capable but operationally trustworthy — reliable enough for logistics teams to depend on, every shift, every day.

Shaolin brings deep technical expertise to the engineering foundation that powers NextBillion.ai's real-time tracking and mapping platform — including the low-latency infrastructure, offline tracking continuity, and high-accuracy location processing capabilities that distinguish the platform from general-purpose mapping APIs. Under Shaolin's technical leadership, NextBillion.ai has built a platform that has navigated over 557 million miles, optimized more than 10.9 million deliveries and tasks, and delivered over $11 million in cost savings to customers globally. In 2025, the company joined Velocitor Solutions, combining NextBillion.ai's AI-driven location intelligence with Velocitor's enterprise telematics and fleet management expertise to build a unified operational platform for the next generation of fleet management.
